Tipid Move #2: Buying Shampoo in Sachets vs Bottled

I know moms and lots of Filipinoys there already know this buying tip but, let me post this for the people out there who don't believe yet just as I did before. 

One day, I woke up and suddenly realized I was not saving anything from my monthly salary. So one Sunday, while on a grocery store, I just found myself calculating and comparing the price of a shampoo brand in a big bottle to the price of combined sachets to get the same volume. I was surprised with the result. At first I could not believe it. I thought I was saving something by buying the one in bottle and I was not. I don't even know why no one told me about this before. Starting then, I no longer purchase shampoo in bottles. 

Below is a proof of that. This is based on my record last week.

A 180 ml Head & Shoulders (Cool Menthol) costs 114 point something. Okay, we'll make it Php 115.00. A pack of six 12 mL of the same brand is priced at Php 29.00. So a pack has (12 x 6 ) 72 mL. If you go with sachets, you can get 180 mL for PHP 72.50 ONLY.

Tipid Move #1: Send SMS thru Chikka w/o Internet Connection

I'm sure most of you already know about this free service that Chikka has been providing for years to Filipinoys like me out there who would find ways to avail things at low or no cost. Chikka Text Messenger started as a PC application until they released a web version. Now, it has also conquered the smartphones and with its newest version, there's a new feature that allows one to send a 39-character SMS text even with no internet connection.Yes, without internet connection. Since I learned about it, I no longer need to reload when I have to send someone a text message. It saves me at least Php 20.00 a day! Yey!
